Some of the advertising sketches produced by important names in graphic art who have worked with Pirelli over the years have returned to Fondazione Pirelli after careful restoration lasting several weeks. Pirelli Rolle (1957) by Bob Noorda, Artiglia l’asfalto (Clawing the Asphalt) (1955) and Atlante, il gigante che farà molta strada (Atlas, the giant who’ll go a long way) (1955), both by Armando Testa, and A occhi chiusi Pirelli (Pirelli, without looking) (1961) by Riccardo Manzi were entrusted for their restoration to Lucia Tarantola who cleaned the pictures and stopped any deterioration of the materials and discolouration. Extremely delicate and complex operations involving most of the collection of images stored in the Archive.
