Face to Face with Inventors

How to become a young Leonardo da Vinci
Inventing means solving a problem by creating tools and objects, or by finding new methods that can improve the knowledge and life of human beings. Each object we use is the result of the boundless imagination of those who came before us or who live alongside us. The students will be carried away on a journey of tales, games, creative activities and virtual voyages that will give them an inside view of the stories of some great inventors and the inventions that have revolutionised our everyday lives and, in particular, our way of moving around and travelling. They will find out about the history of the wheel and of bicycles, foam rubber, raincoats, photography, and smart tyres, learning how to observe the everyday objects around them from a new perspective, seeing what it is like to become inventors for a day.
The course will be held entirely online and may consist of a number of events (with a maximum of four encounters) depending on the needs of the teacher and the class.
