New ideas for moving around the city of the future
In comics, we are used to seeing a light bulb suddenly turning on when a new idea appears but we also need to understand how, in the real world, most innovations are the end result of lengthy experimentation, studies and research. By following the various stages of this journey, the students will learn about some of the most important inventions that have been made over the centuries and that have transformed our way of life and, in particular, our way of getting around. Accompanied by stories of the great inventors of the past and by examining the digital documents now in the Pirelli archives, the children will be able to see how a new idea comes into being, and they will see how important it is to protect it with patents. From the introduction of the wheel to the smart tyre and scooter-sharing schemes, the students will be encouraged to imagine what mobility will be like in the future and to see if they can come up with innovative solutions to improve our daily lives.
The course will be held entirely online and may consist of a number of events (with a maximum of three encounters) depending on the needs of the teacher and the class.
