The day highlights the social role and contribution of the Made in Italy brand to the country\u2019s economic and cultural development, emphasising its rich heritage and inspiring the public to promote and protect the value and distinctive qualities of Italian craftsmanship and products. It also aims to encourage young people to pursue artisanal and creative professions linked to the tradition of Italian manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate this occasion, the <strong>Pirelli Foundation <\/strong>and the <strong>Pirelli Cycling factory in Bollate <\/strong>are offering university students guided tours of the <strong>Pirelli facility in Milano Bollate<\/strong>, where \u201cMade in Italy\u201d bicycle tyres are produced. These top-of-the-range tyres are made on a <strong>highly automated production line<\/strong>, using <strong>cutting-edge technologies<\/strong>. These systems ensure the highest standards not only of product quality but also of workplace safety and environmental sustainability. The students will have a chance to see up close how tyres are made in all the various stages of production. They will also be able to follow the industrial transformations from the past to the present in an exhibition that tells the story of how the company\u2014which was founded <strong>153 years ago <\/strong>but which has never ceased to look to the future\u2014has made and continues to make the history of the Made in Italy brand across the world.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free of charge and will take place on <strong>15 April <\/strong>at the Pirelli plant in Via S. Bernardo, 91, Bollate.<\/p>\n<p>The universities will need to arrange transportation to and from the factory.<\/p>\n<p>The visit will last approximately an hour and a half, with two available slots at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.<\/p><p>To sign up for the event, please write to the Pirelli Foundation at <a href=\"mailto:scuole@fondazonepirelli.org\"><strong>scuole@fondazonepirelli.org<\/strong><\/a><strong> by 21 March 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>15 April is National Made in Italy Day, established by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy to celebrate Italian creativity and excellence.
