For the first time, the Pirelli Foundation is displaying the works of Renato Guttuso<\/b>, created by the artist for Pirelli beginning in the late 1950s.<\/p>\n

The exhibit, entitled \u201cRenato Guttuso: on the banks of the Nile<\/b>\u201d, includes 5 Indian Ink drawings and an oil on canvas painting, all inspired by the artist\u2019s travels<\/a> with Giovanni Pirelli <\/strong>along the banks of the Nile in 1959<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From Thebes to Memphis, from Luxor to Cairo, the illustrations depicted mythical lands populated by locals<\/strong> going about their daily routine, brought to life through the unmistakable strokes of Renato Guttuso.<\/p>\n
