At the XXI Triennale International Exhibition in Milan<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>entitled \u201cXXI Century. Design after design\u201d, of which Pirelli is Official Partner, Fondazione Pirelli will be staging an exhibition dedicated to \u201cIndustrial Architecture: from the Bicocca Project to the Settimo Torinese Industrial Site. A trip through Pirelli’s sites and history<\/a><\/b>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The exhibition will be set up in three of the most significant buildings of Pirelli’s current headquarters:<\/p>\n

– HQ1, the building designed by Gregotti Associati around the ancient cooling tower of the Bicocca plants;<\/p>\n

– the XV century Bicocca degli Arcimboldi<\/b>, which is home to the Group’s current executive offices;<\/p>\n

– historical building 134,<\/b> preserved and refurbished to house the activities of the Fondazione, including the Historical Archives.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be an opportunity to discover the key moments and events in the history of Pirelli, its presence in the city and its relationships with architecture from the first factory in Via Ponte Seveso (currently Via Fabio Filzi) and the creation of the major industrial plant in Bicocca to the famous skyscraper designed by Gio Ponti<\/b> dubbed the \u201cPirellone\u201d by locals, \u00a0Gregotti<\/b> Associati’s Bicocca Project for reconverting the industrial area and the new plant in Settimo Torinese with is central \u201cspine\u201d structure for research and services designed by Renzo Piano<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Visits will be led by the Fondazione Pirelli personnel (tours in English available on demand).<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be open from May to July <\/b>(reservations needed, until tickets last).<\/p>\n
