{"id":59294,"date":"2019-06-12T11:16:05","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T11:16:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/linnovazione-industriale-parte-dalluniversita\/"},"modified":"2022-04-21T18:49:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T17:49:37","slug":"industrial-innovation-starts-at-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/en\/education-en\/industrial-innovation-starts-at-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Industrial Innovation Starts at School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the goals of any good mechanical engineer is to study and experiment with new machines, new processes and <strong>new solutions<\/strong> each and every day, and this research, <strong>study and experimenting starts at university<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Or more to the point, it starts at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.unibs.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Brescia<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s Department of Mechanical Engineering, which sent 40 of its students to the Pirelli Foundation on <strong>28 May<\/strong> to study the history and development of <strong>a multinational that has been in business for over 140 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>They also took a look at <strong>technology<\/strong>, from the <strong>tyre manufacturing process<\/strong> to the equipment used to measure vibration, and from a tour of our indoor testing room to one of our <strong>Bollate (Milan) production facilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For these students, it was an opportunity to catch a glimpse of what the future could bring, given that <strong>manufacturing<\/strong> remains the traditional career outlet for all those who graduate with degrees in mechanical engineering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the goals of any good mechanical engineer is to study and experiment with new machines, new processes and new solutions each and every day, and this research, study and experimenting starts at university.
