This video-interview project led to the creation of 11 video clips<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0which were published on social networks, with a discussion on the company archives and on innovation and communication.<\/p>\n<p>The classes were given guided tours through the premises of the Foundation, with in-depth analyses in the fields of photography, company history, sustainability, and visual communication, to mention but a few of the topics covered. The tour devoted to the evolution of advertising graphics was one of the most appreciated: after visiting the current exhibition, <em>Advertising with a Capital P<\/em>, many classes tried their hand at creating\u00a0<strong><em>stop-motion advertisements<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong><em>posters for bicycle tyres<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To have a close-up view of the complexities involved in the creation of a new tyre, the kids found out about the\u00a0<strong>chemical laboratories<\/strong>, where the raw materials are analysed, the\u00a0<strong>physics laboratories<\/strong>\u00a0and, also in the research and development department, the\u00a0<strong>experimentation\u00a0<\/strong>laboratories, where prototypes are tested to meet the standards required for safety and sustainability. The\u00a0<strong>Next MIRS plant in Milan Bicocca<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Pirelli Industrial Centre in Settimo Torinese \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>two excellent examples of digital factories \u2013 allowed the students to follow the entire production process, from the compounds all the way to tyres ready for the market.<\/p>\n<p>In autumn 2018, many partnerships were entered into with external institutions and associations. Pirelli Foundation Educational collaborated for the first time with the\u00a0<strong>Traffic Police<\/strong>, with agents taking part in the educational activities at <strong>WOW Spazio Fumetto<\/strong> during the week devoted to road victims. An exhibition of historic Pirelli posters and educational courses for primary schools were organised with the aim of raising young people\u2019s awareness of the dangers of the road and introducing them to the\u00a0<strong>10 golden rules of road safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Pirelli Foundation\u2019s focus on the world of robotics, coding and the <strong>digital revolution<\/strong> in general was at the centre of interaction with\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/en\/education-en\/journey-to-the-future-pirelli-foundation-educational-at-the-coolest-projects-milano-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Coolest Projects Milano 2018<\/strong><\/a>, an international project that gives young people the chance to present their inventions in the field of digital creativity. As part of the event, the Pirelli Foundation, in collaboration with the company\u2019s <strong>Research and Development department<\/strong>, illustrated Pirelli\u2019s commitment to training and innovation in the digital age.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/en\/education-en\/state-nation-sovereignty-stories-of-changes-and-conflicts-in-politics-society-and-the-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Cinema &amp; History<\/strong><\/a>, the 7th edition of the training and refresher course for teachers, took place in the last quarter, from February to April, organised in collaboration with\u00a0<strong>Fondazione<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>ISEC\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0<strong>Fondazione Cineteca Italiana<\/strong>.
