This year\u2019s course, entitled \u201cFor a Lexicon of Modernity: Understanding and Teaching the Contemporary Age\u201d, addresses some of the great issues of the contemporary world: <strong>geopolitics<\/strong>, the <strong>new frontiers of work<\/strong>, and the <strong>relationship between the world of finance and the real economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The course, now in its sixth edition, consists of <strong>three lessons<\/strong>, <strong>three workshops<\/strong> and <strong>a film screening<\/strong>. And, in particular, the Pirelli thematic workshop. A <strong>history of work, from the twentieth-century factory to digital robots<\/strong>, will allow participants to follow an itinerary that goes from today\u2019s Pirelli Headquarters inside the former cooling tower to the Milano Bicocca plant, where they will see Next MIRS digital robots at work.<\/p>\n<p>The activities for teachers also come with <strong>two film screenings introduced by film history scholars<\/strong>. The screenings will be held in the morning and will also be open to student classes who may be interested.<\/p>\n<p>The course is free of charge and registration is required by Monday 15 January.
