{"id":74721,"date":"2016-11-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-16T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/uncategorized\/cinema-storia-2016-2017-world-history-oltre-leurocentrismo-nuove-prospettive-di-divulgazione-e-insegnamento\/"},"modified":"2022-04-21T16:41:59","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T15:41:59","slug":"cinema-history-2016-2017-beyond-eurocentrism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazionepirelli.org\/en\/education-en\/cinema-history-2016-2017-beyond-eurocentrism\/","title":{"rendered":"Cinema &#038; History 2016-2017 <br>Beyond Eurocentrism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>New Prospects for Dissemination and Teaching<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From Monday <strong>6 February 2017<\/strong>, the Pirelli Foundation will host a new series of meetings of the free <strong>Cinema &amp; History 2016-2017<\/strong> training and refresher course for teachers of primary and secondary schools of Lombardy Region.<\/p>\n<p>The course, now in its fifth edition, is promoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazioneisec.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Fondazione ISEC<\/strong><\/a> and the <strong>Pirelli Foundation<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Fondazione Cineteca Italiana<\/strong>. It examines the theme of <strong>Word History<\/strong>, which is highly topical in the world of history studies, bringing in the skills and knowledge for a <strong>global approach to history<\/strong> \u2013 in line with the educational content of our schools \u2013 offering a vision that goes beyond Eurocentrism. The programme for teachers consists of three lessons, an afternoon screening, and a <strong>final teaching workshop<\/strong>. Two film screenings, introduced by film history scholars, accompany the activities for teachers in the morning. They will also be open to the classes of students who may be interested. Registered teachers will be provided with teaching materials related to the course.<\/p>\n<p>A certificate of attendance will be issued by Fondazione ISEC upon request.<\/p>\n<p>Enrolment on the course is required.
