need and desire for words.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This previously unpublished poem by Roberto Piumini opens the events devoted to the first edition of the Premio Campiello Junior, which came about through the partnership between the Pirelli Libraries and the Premio Campiello.<\/p>\n

The real protagonists will be young readers from all over Italy, who will be called upon to choose the winner: a popular jury<\/strong> consisting of 160 children<\/strong> aged 10 to 14, who will have the task of selecting the best book of fiction or poetry from the three finalists chosen by a technical jury.<\/p>\n

Primary and lower-secondary school educators and teachers are invited to the presentation of the programme of events involving young people in the jury of readers. The event will take place online on Thursday 23 September 2021<\/strong> at 5.30 p.m.<\/strong> During the meeting you will be able to see how to propose young people as candidates and learn about the educational initiatives \u2013 put on by the Pirelli Foundation in collaboration with the Campiello \u2013 that will accompany young readers on this adventure, also in the first months of 2022.<\/p>\n
