An important question, as it requires concrete answers about the attention that enterprises (really) pay to the complex aspects that connect human beings and the way they act to how much they care about production organisation. This is a major topic that, nowadays, has gained wide coverage in almost any debate concerning the balanced development not only of companies in the stricter sense, but also of modern social and economic systems more in general. It is around these themes, and with the aim of finding an answer to that initial question \u2013 including a focus on gender equality \u2013 that Elena Gerardo has developed her work <em>La dimensione sociale all\u2019interno del bilancio di sostenibilit\u00e0: un\u2019analisi empirica <\/em>(<em>The social dimension within sustainability reports: an empirical analysis<\/em>), thesis discussed at the University of Padua, M. Fanno Department of Economics and Business Sciences, Master&#8217;s in Economics and Law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are increasingly hearing about sustainability and, due to the 2030 Agenda, all European countries are striving to achieve economic and social prosperity, without compromising future generations,\u201d writes Gerardo at the beginning of her research study, adding that, \u201cIf we look back over the past 20 years, the theme of sustainability started to become increasingly relevant in the behaviours of institutions, families and companies. With regard to the latter, many of them have embarked on a path that no longer only dwells on the economic sphere but that includes development and performance policies linked to ESG criteria, that is, respect for the environment and for people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the people who drive the company and its managers to get involved with wider corporate social issues and, as such, to implement actions and build relationships on the territory aimed at taking into account the social dimensions of its activities, without neglecting to do the same within its own organisation, too.<\/p>\n<p>Building on all this, Elena Gerardo first clarifies the context in which sustainability reports should be placed, and then goes on to carefully examine that social dimension that takes shape both within and outside companies, before moving on to an empirical analysis that attempts to verify the theory\u2019s feasibility in the real world, paying particular attention to gender equality.<\/p>\n<p>Elena Gerardo\u2019s research study and efforts are commendable, as not only they draw attention to a significant theoretical aspect of good corporate culture, but also attempt to verify their practical implementation.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/wpsite-assets.fondazionepirelli.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/09103620\/Gerardo_Elena.pdf\"><strong>La dimensione sociale all\u2019interno del bilancio di sostenibilit\u00e0: un\u2019analisi empirica<\/strong><\/a> <strong>(<em>The social dimension within sustainability reports: an empirical analysis<\/em>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elena Gerardo<\/p>\n<p>Thesis, University of Padua, M.
