Pirelli Foundation Educational <\/strong>is back, with a new educational programme for the 2022-2023 school year. A whole range of new features will be presented in an online meeting, open to all those who may be interested, on Monday 19 September <\/strong>at 5.30 p.m. on the Microsoft Teams platform.<\/p>\n

The free educational courses<\/strong>, in the form of webinars, workshops, virtual tours, <\/strong>and guided tours of the Pirelli Foundation, both online and in person, <\/strong>will accompany students and teachers as they find out about Pirelli\u2019s corporate culture<\/strong>. Participants will be taken on a 150-year journey to discover a \u201cworld beyond rubber<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 a world of creativity, research, technology, and innovation. From experiments with increasingly innovative raw materials used for making tyres, which are only apparently just \u201cround black objects\u201d, to racing on two and four wheels, to reading the company house organs and examining the works created by the masters of visual communication, through to travel and the issues involved in sustainable mobility and road safety.<\/p>\n

Primary schools <\/strong>will be able to <\/strong>visit the Pirelli Foundation<\/strong> to find out about the world of rubber, further their passion for reading<\/strong> or go on a virtual journey through the city of Milan <\/strong>and discover the strong bond<\/strong> between Pirelli<\/strong> and the Lombard capital.<\/p>\n

Lower secondary schools<\/strong> will learn about the materials used in tyre manufacture<\/strong>, the most important racing champions<\/strong> and industrial cinema<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lastly, upper secondary schools<\/strong> will examine Pirelli\u2019s relations with the great international photographers, designers, and graphic artists who have created extraordinary advertising campaigns<\/strong> and with the architects who created the company\u2019s workplaces<\/strong>. The students will also discover the technological innovations introduced over the decades by the Research and Development laboratories.<\/p>

On Thursday 22 September at 5.30 p.m.<\/strong>, to complete the presentation of the new programme and to examine the issues at hand, Pirelli Foundation Educational invites teachers to the new virtual guided tour<\/strong> (on the Microsoft Teams platform), of the exhibition that celebrates the company\u2019s 150th anniversary: <\/strong>Pirelli: When History Builds The Future<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Teachers will also be able to visit the Pirelli Foundation in person on Monday 26 September at 5.30 p.m.<\/strong>, with booking required, on a first-come-first-served basis.
