Lucia Lopresti, better known by her pen name Anna Banti, passed away in Ronchi di Massa forty years ago, on 2 September 1985.<\/p>\n

A writer, translator and art critic, she made her debut in fiction in 1930 with the short story Barbara e la morte<\/em>. Together with her husband, Roberto Longhi, she founded the magazine Paragone <\/em>in 1950, dedicated to art and literature. In 1962 she published the story Ipotesi dietro gli occhiali neri<\/a> in issue no. 5 of Pirelli <\/em>magazine. Her most notable works include Artemisia<\/em>, Le donne muoiono<\/em>, Allarme sul lago<\/em>, and Noi credevamo<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
