On Friday 29 May, the names of the five finalists for the 2025 Premio Campiello were announced in the assembly hall of the Palazzo del Bo in Padua. This historic literary award, dedicated to Italian fiction, was set up in 1962 by the Industrialists of Veneto and is once again supported by Pirelli.<\/p>\n

The Jury of Literary Experts, chaired by Roberto Cicutto, a film producer and former president of the Venice Biennale, chose the following books: <\/p>\n

\u201cL\u2019immensa distrazione<\/em><\/strong>\u201d by Marcello Fois<\/strong> (Einaudi) <\/p>\n

\u201cStoria di un\u2019amicizia\u201d by Ermanno Cavazzoni<\/strong> (Quodlibet) <\/p>\n

\u201cLa vita sempre\u201d by Elena Varvello<\/strong> (Guanda) <\/p>\n

\u201cLa ragazzina\u201d by Valeria Parrella<\/strong> (Feltrinelli) <\/p>\n

\u201cLo sbilico\u201d by Alcide Pierantozzi<\/strong> (Einaudi)<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, the Premio Campiello Opera Prima was awarded to \u201cAcqua sporca\u201d by Nadeesha Uyangoda<\/strong> (Einaudi). <\/p>\n

The overall winner will be crowned in Venice on Saturday, 3 October 2026. <\/p>\n
