Plenty of stories of women who changed the world have been published in recent years, but this book stands out in the world of publishing thanks to the author\u2019s quick-witted pen and lively pencil. In her comic strips, P\u00e9n\u00e9lope Bagieu, a world-famous French cartoonist, manages to convey the courage and tenacity of fifteen ladies whom perhaps not everyone knows. These include the first Chinese empress, the creator of the Mumins, and the lady who designed the first modern bathing costume. They all come to life in these densely packed, colourful plates, which are naturally not only for women.
