He narrated his experience in the concentration camp in the book <em>If this is a man<\/em>, now a classic of Italian literature. His interest in science transpires in several of his works, such as <em>The wrench<\/em> and <em>The periodic table;<\/em> his novel <em>The truce<\/em> won the first edition of the Campiello Literary Prize in 1963.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Primo Levi was born on 31 July 1919 in Turin, where he died on 11 April 1987.
