Cities in Motion
How do we move around our cities today? And how was it in the past? In this journey through time, we’ll discover how people’s habits and ways of getting about have changed. Together, we’ll look at photos, videos, and archive documents to see how people travelled years ago – especially in Milan. Imagine the very first bicycles, traffic police directing cars without traffic lights, and the first zebra crossings… all the way to “smart” and “shared” cars and today’s public transport. Then we’ll think about the future: how can we make our cities safer, more beautiful, and easier to live in? With creativity and teamwork, and even a little coding, we’ll try to design new ideas for moving through the city – always thinking about the needs of all its people as well as the environment and the planet.
The session will take place at the Pirelli Foundation and is for one class.
