Evolution and Processes in Industry 4.0

Pirelli, a century and a half of innovation and technology Since 1872 Pirelli has introduced great scientific and technological innovation, thanks to the constant commitment of thousands of people who work every day in the Research and Development laboratories around in Italy and in the various company sites around the world. The aim of this workshop is to find out about the development of the first Italian company to produce rubber objects, and to see the complexities involved in creating a tyre, from selecting sustainable raw materials through to production in Industry 4.0 facilities. The students will study the main process and product innovations introduced by Pirelli over the course of its 150-year history. The course will be held entirely online and will consist of one or more meetings, depending on the needs of the teachers and students.
