The sport workshop: team work, research, technology, passion and social value
The book, which is published by Marsilio Arte, was present on 26 June at the Teatro Franco Parenti.
The evening was devoted to the world of sport and its protagonists, with speeches by the executive vice president of Pirelli Marco Tronchetti Provera, the director of the Pirelli Foundation Antonio Calabrò,the president of the Museo Egizio of Turin and FIFA councillor Evelina Christillin, the president and CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali, and the director of Motorsport Pirelli Mario Isola. The writer Joe Lansdale, the historian Eva Cantarella, and the ocean yachtsman Ambrogio Beccaria were guests of the event via video link.
For the occasion, the foyer of the theatre and the Bagni Misteriosi hosted a series of installations that drew on images from the Pirelli Historical Archive, and with scale reproductions of the previously unexhibited plates created by the artist Lorenzo Mattotti to illustrate the book.
