Designing Light:
Pirelli and the Architecture of the Workplace
The ultra-modern company canteen designed by Giulio Minoletti in the 1950s, the Pirelli Tower by Gio Ponti, a masterpiece of Milanese architecture, the Bicocca Headquarters, which incorporates the former factory’s cooling tower, designed by Vittorio Gregotti, and Pirelli’s “beautiful factory” in Settimo Torinese with the Spina section designed by Renzo Piano. These are just some of the most distinctive Pirelli buildings of yesterday and today. All with one thing in common: light and transparency.
