Gio Ponti, Milano e i ragazzi
The touching story of an inquisitive angel who, through a window illuminated from dawn to dusk, shows us the incredible world of one of the twentieth century’s most important architects. Gio Ponti is shown to young people in this publication, which opens like a leaflet, taking them on a journey through the transformation of his beloved Milan. The Pirelli Tower, which is celebrating its sixtieth birthday, the first Palazzo Montecatini, the church of San Francesco and his early works, the house in Via Randaccio, Casa Marmont, Casa Laporte and the Torre Littoria in the park are shown off to their best advantage in photos and drawings from the Gio Ponti Archives, with the family memories of his daughter Lisa.
But, one evening, the architect’s watchful eye discerns this mysterious angel and starts including its silhouette in some of his elegant design objects.
