Croc Haydock is a shy crocodile, a very shy crocodile. So shy that he often stutters when he has to speak. That’s why everyone knows him as Croc Stutter. His greatest fear takes shape when he’s invited to the great annual crocodile gathering and asked to give the celebratory speech during dinner. Croc panics. What should he do? Maybe the other animals have some advice for him! Although at first he can’t see that any of their suggestions are helpful in his situation, when the time for his speech arrives they all turn out to be extremely useful.
Il grande discorso di Cocco Tartaglia (Croc Stutter’s great speech) by Fabrizio Silei is an ode to listening, to yourself and to the people around you: it’s only by listening to his own feelings and fears that the protagonist will realise that everyone has them (even those who seem very confident) and that they can be overcome. And why not? To do it, sometimes asking for help and listening to the advice you get is the best strategy.
