Ghoulia
Living in isolation in the great gloomy manor of her Auntie Departed in the company of her albino greyhound Tragedy seems normal for young Ghoulia. The manor has tea rooms, an attic full of spiders, and even a wood she can lose her way in. But the fact is that Ghoulia would also love to meet the children of the village, which is not that far away, and be able to play with them, but her adorable auntie will hear nothing of it. So the little zombie in this scary story plucks up courage and takes advantage of Halloween so she can mix in with the crowd of monsters, among whom her pale green skin and the deep purple circles under her eyes will go unnoticed among all the other children dressed up for the festival. A story that will entertain those young readers who love scary stories, and who know how precious and unique diversity can be. Mortina Barbara Cantini Mondadori, 2017
