“Back to Bicocca”, the Pirelli Foundation’s Interactive Show for MuseoCity 2022

Two events – a search through the materials in the Pirelli Historical Archive and an accident in the digital systems – led to a whole series of enigmas, and tests of skill and creativity that needed to be overcome in order to help a young researcher, Evelina, track down her grandmother, who had been a Pirelli engineer in the 1940s, and to restore the archive database. All this is Back to Bicocca. Pirelli e i luoghi dell’industria, an interactive online show for people of all ages that was put on during MuseoCity and created in collaboration with the Associazione Culturale Dramatrà. MuseoCity, an event promoted by the City of Milan, ran from 4 to 6 March 2022. During the event, the spectators were catapulted back into the past, where they discovered some of the milestones in the company’s history through the testimony of people from the past and present of Pirelli. An interactive journey, from historical memories to future ambitions.
