When he arrived in Milan in 1954, Bob Noorda was a young Dutch designer who had trained in the Bauhaus movement after graduating from the IVKNO school in Amsterdam. Italy for him was Pirelli and Olivetti, Rinascente and the Milanese Metro – in other words, it was international fame. Published by 24 Ore Cultura in 2015, five years after his death, Bob Noorda Design is “... his book. A book that led him to retrace his own career as a designer, to put him in line with the struggle faced by people who prefer the future.” This precious volume on Noorda and sought by Noorda, is available for consultation at the Pirelli Foundation Library.
