Campiello Prize 2024: the fifth finalist
On Friday 31st May the five finalists were announced for the Campiello Prize, the historic literary award for works of Italian fiction, created in 1962 by a group of industrialists from Veneto and supported this year once again by Pirelli. The Selection Ceremony took place in the Aula Magna of the Palazzo del Bo in Padua , where the Literary Jury selected the five finalists: The Fire You Carry Within by Antonio Franchini (Marsilio) The House of the Magician by Emanuele Trevi (Ponte alle Grazie) Locus desperatus by Michele Mari (Einaudi) Alma by Federica Manzon (Feltrinelli) Dilaga ovunque by Vanni Santoni (Laterza) In addition, the Campiello Opera Prima Prize was also awarded, which went to the novel Home of the white orphans by Fiammetta Palpati (Laurana Editore).
