Cormac McCarthy
Charles McCarthy was born in Providence, United States, on 20 July 1933. McCarthy is one of the main contemporary American writers and his works feature a range of different genres, spanning from Western to post-apocalyptic, with a style distinguished by its aesthetics of violence. The novel that brought him fame is All the pretty horses, the first book in the Border Trilogy, while other successful works include No country for old men, The road and Blood meridian.
