The Pulitzer Prize is the most prestigious American award for journalism, literature and music. It was established in 1917 by Columbia University. The winners of the 2025 edition were announced on 5 May: the Fiction prize went to the novel “James” by Percival Everett (Doubleday), the Non-Fiction prize to “To the Success of Our Hopeless Cause: The Many Lives of the Soviet Dissident Movement” by Benjamin Nathans (Princeton University Press), and the Poetry award was given to “New and Selected Poems” by Marie Howe (W.
