

Strega Prize 2024
The 78th edition of the Strega Prize ended on Thursday 4 July in the garden of the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome. The winner was the writer Donatella Di Pietrantonio for her novel L'età fragile (The frail age), published by Einaudi, with 189 votes; second place went to Dario Voltolini with the novel “Invernale” (La nave di Teseo), (Winter [The Ship of Theseus]),143 votes, followed by Chiara Valerio with the novel “Chi dice e chi tace” (Those Who Speak and Those Who Are Silent), published by Sellerio, with 138 votes; fourth place for Raffaella Romagnolo with the novel “Aggiustare l'universo” (Fixing the Universe), published by Mondadori, with 83 votes; Paolo di Paolo followed with “Romanzo senza umani” (A Novel without humans) (Feltrinelli), with 66 votes; and finally, Tommaso Giartosio with the novel “Autobiogrammatica” (Autobiogrammatics), published by minimum fax, which received 25 votes. The evening was hosted by Geppi Cucciari and Pino Strabioli and broadcast live on Rai 3.
