12th Festival of Educational Robotics

The Pirelli Foundation continued its work with the Festival della Robotica Educativa hosted by the University of Milano-Bicocca. The students taking part learnt about Pirelli’s corporate culture and the educational activities for schools in a presentation of the Pirelli Foundation Educational programme at a stand set up for the occasion.

On Friday 18 May 2018, the higher secondary school students were also involved in an educational meeting on the most advanced technologies used in tyre production. Together with experts from Pirelli’s Research and Development Department, the students studied the development and operation processes of Automatic Visual Inspection (AVI) used for the final inspection of tyres, as well as the Modular Integrated Robotized System (Next MIRS) an advanced robotic line that allows for industrial production that is far more flexible than conventional systems.
