18th Corporate Culture Week: “a regola d’arte”
Research into new materials, product innovation and design, but also the close ties between art and science – these are just some of the issues examined by the numerous initiatives that the Pirelli Foundation is putting on for the XVIII Settimana della Cultura d’Impresa (18th Corporate Culture Week) promoted by Museimpresa under the title “A regola d’arte. L’Italia delle culture d’impresa: inclusiva e sostenibile”
Industry is Imagination: Great Names for Kartell and Pirelli Projects and Products is the exhibition put on together with Kartell Museo. It takes us on a journey through Italy from the post-war reconstruction and the economic boom through to the present day, with patents, materials and products thought up by the genius and creativity of great names in design and science – from Giulio Natta to Carlo Barassi, and Bruno Munari to Marco Zanuso – whose objects accompanied and still accompany Italians on their travels and in their everyday lives. Science is again at the heart of another event Our Bach: Music and Science in the Factory, the meeting conceived by the Pirelli Foundation, in collaboration with the Orchestra da Camera Italiana, for middle and upper secondary schools to interact with Maestro Salvatore Accardo and a Pirelli engineer, who will examine the close bond that unites science and music. Images, sounds, formulas, calculations, and words all illustrate the scientific, technical, and liberal culture that is so much a feature of manufacturing and the factory.
