| Full description of the subject | The 36th Giro d'Italia held from 12 May to 2 June 1953: the event was won by Fausto Coppi, who raced with the Bianchi team, followed by Hugo Koblet of Guerra and Pasquale Fornara of Bottecchia. Established in 2008 Pirelli Foundation starts to operate in 2009 at the request of the Group and of the Pirelli family, in order to protect and disseminate knowledge of the company's cultural, historical and contemporary heritage and to promote its business culture.
