| General description of the subject | The 1950 Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix, known as the "Gran Premio delle Nazioni", held on 10 September 1950 on the Monza circuit. This was the last event in the World Motorcycle Championships, and included various races: the 125 and 250 classes were won by Gianni Leoni on FB Mondial and Dario Ambrosini on Benelli respectively, while Geoff Duke on Norton won in the 350 and 500 classes. The sidecar class was won by Eric Oliver and Lorenzo Dobelli. At the end of the races, the riders Bruno Ruffo, Dario Ambrosini and Umbero Masetti became world champions, in the 125, 250 and 500 classes respectively. |
